Old English Word Search
Choose one of the searches for an Old English word in exact form OR one of the wildcard searches.
If you know the length of the vowel(s) in your target word choose Exact Search with length-mark. This will find words with the specified vowel-length, including short vowels.
If you don't know the vowel-length in the target word choose Exact Search without length-mark. This will find words regardless of vowel-length, but will show length as appropriate in the displayed result.
don't know the exact form of the target word choose a wildcard search. For example
if you don't know whether the word has ge (or any other prefix), type the rest
of the word in the end-of-word dialog box. If you don't know whether a verb
ends in —an or —ian type the stem in the beginning-of-word
Wildcard searches are also useful for finding compounds.
